In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official release, "A strange meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
